About James Falletti

Inspiring Minds Through Science, Sustainability, and Storytelling

James Falletti is an award-winning environmental educator, wildlife photographer, and science communicator based in New Jersey and the Greater New York metropolitan area. With over 15 years of experience, his work brings together education, photography, and storytelling to help people connect more deeply with the natural world.

He is the recipient of the Cherri Brinley Outstanding Educator Award and the Patricia F. Kane Environmental Educator Award. James has contributed as a writer for a range of nature and wildlife organizations and nonprofit groups, and he serves on the field trip committee for the Bergen County Audubon Society (BCAS).

Throughout his career, James has taught science and STEAM programs both in-person and virtually across the United States and internationally. He has developed sustainability-focused school programs with Eco-Schools USA, a National Wildlife Federation initiative, and holds credentials as a Google Certified Educator and National Geographic Certified Educator. He is also a SEEC Crew Ambassador through the Space Exploration Educators Conference.

Today, his work is centered on creating meaningful learning experiences through photography, environmental education, and public engagement. He leads workshops, develops programs, and shares his work to inspire curiosity, observation, and a deeper appreciation for nature. He is an active member of the Teaneck Creek Conservancy’s Marketing & Communications Committee and the Hackensack Art Club, where he continues to engage with both environmental and creative communities at the local level.

James is currently writing The Classroom Without Walls, a book that explores how nature, experience, and curiosity can transform the way we learn.

His work is rooted in a simple goal: helping people connect with, understand, and care for the world around them.
